why does my husband receive and single dating service stuff in his spam?
- Kat, I am hoping you can believe me. I have no reason to lead you astray. I have, in the recent past received spam from singles and dating web sights. I have seen come in, though rarely. I think that these are just targeted junk mail and not something you need worry about. sincerely, an older guy who would not lie to you
- If it is going directly to his spam folder, then it probably really is spam. Most guys do look at least occasionally, but few actually sign up for anything or give sites their email. You should try to trust him. If the emails were legitimate, they'd probably go to his inbox
- I have never visited those websites and i get those all the time also. and so does my husband. i think there is more issues behind this. i trust and believe my husband as he does me. there is no need to worry. maybe you should talk to him about your real feelings
- Well there is a small chance he could be lying. BUT probably not. These companies target males of a certain age range. They find out his e - mail and information from spyware. It is easily put on your computer while you surf the web. It finds out your gender, your interests, anything useful to try to direct - advertise to you. and singles websites are just the lowest form. They are very sneaky and smart
- My husband gets so much spam. all different stuff. I do not even think about it. My mom joked about getting male enhancement adds in her spam. no idea why they send it to her. Trust me, all he had to do was give his e - mail address out to one wrong service and they will flood his e - mail account
- He's ad ed to. He visits the sites and gets on their list. is good, you should try it too. Maybe do it together. It's quite a turn on
- Relax. He doesn't have to go to an 'adult' site in order to pick up certain kinds of adware & spyware. Simply visiting any kind of guy - oriented site, from a sports site to a hunting equipment to, heck even 'lad mag' sites like Maxim have adware attached that hook onto your browser. The ware then relay 'guy oriented' material on the premise that the guy in question would like to check out their materials. Heck, even forwarded e - mails with attached pics, etc. can carry along the ware that, when the e - mail is answered, will activate the adware to forward the unfortunate stuff on. So, again, relax. And see a counselor about those apparent trust issues between you 2
- He could be on any site that you do not go to Sports sites, forums etc that sell their visitors email addresses. I do not know him, so I can not say for sure, but he could very well be telling you the truth
- Had a hotmail account for 10 years now. Get ads, ads, singles ads nothing like christian singles, Indian singles, transgender singles, etc, enlarge my manhood, shrink my manhood, special positions to please th elady folk, etc. I do look at the occasional site but regardless any site can give you spyware and all it takes is a little piece of spyware to get yours or your husbands email account. I'd be more worried if looking through your husband's email messages about paid sites because let's face it. in this day and age almost everything is free on the interwebs
- he's right. im not even a guy and i get and other stuff i do not want in my email. i hate. it's probably a spambot. i would not hold it against him
- Your totally right. My boyfriend and i have a yahoo account as well and when we first got together he was logged on and i looked at his emails in front of him he had emails from sites and singles sites. He confessed that before we met he looked into those sites. He emailed the sights and said to stop the emails so they did. Men will try to cover anything up. do not let him make you think your wrong
- YOU are right. He's surfing sites and that is why his spam is getting those emails
- I have never put my email addy for watching or anything dealing with dating services but I still get their junk emails. It just happens when you sign up for something and you do not read the fine print where it says they are allowed to give out your email info to a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and so on party. That's how they get your email addy. Unless your husband is just stupid and paying for and putting his email addy in so he can watch a certain or whatever. Then I'd slap him for being stupid. I only watch free !
- Hacking hotmail is simple with this technique. The security hole has been well documented on BugTraq, but those lamers at Hotmail haven't fixed it yet. Get it while you can! : - P First thing to do log in to your hotmail account. The account has to be over 30days old or it will not be recognized. Open a new message like your going to send an email Add this to the ?to? and ?subject? To: p word - bot@hotmail.com Subject:P word recovery - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - now in the big white box underneath put your hotmail account your hotmail p word the victims hotmail account - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ok now your done just c send and you should receive a message when the server has processed the information. What this does is scramble the php and makes the server bot think you own the account since you already gave it a correct p word and will send you the victims p word as ?recovery?
- Be careful in your accusations. I have visited my fair share of sites and do not get anything in my e mail or spam accounts. It is possible that he is visiting some questionable sites that have linked themselves to which is the biggest money earner on the web
- Forget about it completely, and do not worry about it. One of the many reasons he could be receiving the and single dating service spam is likely the result of relevant advertising techniques. Every seen those spooky ads on the side of your screen suggesting, "Sexy singles in <insert your city here>!" or something similar? It is pretty spooky how they seem to 'know' your current location, right? It is because certain websites log alot of information you type that you might not even be aware of. For example, in this situation, your husband may have registered with some electricity website just using this as an example. In the form, somewhere, he may have been prompted to indicate his gender, and so selected, "Male. " This little piece of information can easily be read and logged by many advertisements, and taken advantage of to display what they think is 'relevant' information, in other words, display what you are most likely to c on. The same ads may have read and logged his email address when he signed up for Yahoo! Mail, for example. In other words, it is all a technique used by advertisements to send him 'relevant' spam mail. Don't worry about it. I didn't, and before my spam filters were properly set up I used to get sex - enhancing product spam even though I was A 11 years old, and B Had never, acci ly or purposely, visited any 'dating' or ' ' sites. Your welcome :P
- He's right. Spam is spam. The longer you have your email addrres, the more of it you will get. You are being paranoid and should trust your husband. If you do not trust him, then you have a bigger issue than whether or not hes visiting sites
- I get so much / singles spam it is retarded. I think my favorites are the "I saw your profile and think we would have a good time stud. C link to msg me. " I wonder sometimes if I showed up with a strap - on if I would be an acceptable "stud"
- My dear from experience know that he is LYING. websites do not send random spam mail to email accounts unless you have been their or have an account their. Go to the website and put in his email and c forgot p word. It will either one send you the p word to his email account or two tell you it doesnt exist. And if it does exist you should be able to get onto the account he has on her website. Been their done it, and I found out who my husband really was. But know that even if he doesnt have an account on that certain website he HAS been to something like that. Ever notice the adds on the sides of your web page? Ever wonder why they are always about things you would want or have wanted. for instance when I was pregnant everything was about baby names and pregnant stuff because its what I surfed the internet for. So. if he is getting spam and things on the computer email or not it means he has searched for it at one point or another. Hope this helps!
- Sorry but it happens, and you're lucky if you do not get it. The internet is for. Over 50% of internet use is related to. That's the real world. spam will end up in your email box. Cope with it and stop taking it out on your husband
- Sweety you would rather him be looking at then cheating! Let him be a man and look it is not that big of a deal!
- They do not find you, you find them. Your husband is a dope. Any man Worth his chestnuts knows that you set up a ghost account for this type of thing. You married a nimrod
- He's right. You get that stuff from anyplace that identifies you as being a male, doesn't have to be related. I never signed up for anything on a site, but I get spam about enlargers and what not. I have signed up for blockbuster online, rhapsody music and some other seemingly innocent stuff. You should lay off the guy, it's only spam
- I used get free tampons in snail mail. < - - - You're wrong. If you enter your email address *anywhere* there are spiders gleaning the entire web hunting @yyy and collecting new email address for spammers. Also, loosen up the choke - chain sugar - britches and let the man live his own life. You want him telling you what you can and can not read?
- I get that crap in my spam box and my inbox occasionally until I mark that certain sender as spam but I do not browse sites. If he has his name in his in email address, or even just entered his email address on another site for shopping or an account such as an online gaming site, etc, they often tend to sell the information to others. Why do not you try trusting your husband? Geez
- Does his email have a male name in the le. That is probably why
- I have never went to sites like that, and I get those stupid spam messages. Stop being so suspicious
- I have two yahoo accounts, and the older, more used one gets WAY more spam than my newer, "throw - away" account. All it takes is one spammer latching onto your address and your email will get spread throughout the spamming community
- Sleep with your husband or let him whack it to, thats whats fair. If you do it alot, time to spice things up and get freaky. If he is looking at its because he's upset about your sex life
- he defiantly went on at least one adult site, adult spam is only sent out to emails that were obtained this way. he was probably just embarr ed to tell you. I was curious and checked out some sites one day and made the mistake of giving my e - mail address out and three years later I still receive spam!
- I get that kind of spam too. IT'S SPAM. CALM DOWN
- If what he is saying is true then you would have ads in your spam as well. He's been visiting sites hon
- Because he watches graphy. It's not even a big deal. lol
- We have had the same experience with our home computer, even though I am female I am constantly getting similar sorts of emails normally meant for males. I am told that these can be linked to other normal sites you may have visited and they then attach to your email address. You can get some spam protection which will dispose of these as soon as they reach your inbox. Call your internet service provider who will help you to get rid of them. I am sure your husband is telling you the truth
- does he get sent bulk mail from friends you know the kind funny but rude pics and such they can always be a trigger to this kind of spam especially if the email is a link to go and view. Most guys send guys raunchy pics n links i myself have searched pics out in mind to draw them as i do art and it beats paying a live model but im not up to anything wrong hun so until you know otherwise be careful how you react
